Gangtok is a stunning vacation destination in Sikkim, located at an altitude of 5410 feet in the peaks of the Eastern Himalayas. Literally translated, Gangtok means "Top of the Ridge."
The city is situated across a mountain that is covered in trees and faces the snow-capped Kanchenjunga peaks. In and around Gangtok, there are several vantage places from which you can enjoy breath-taking views of Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan mountains. The city undoubtedly provides all of its tourists with a fantastic sight.
Best Time to Visit Gangtok
In spite of the fact that Gangtok experiences a high tourist season from September to June, the best times to come are during the brisk fall months of September and October and the spring and summer months of March to June. So, if you're thinking of taking an outrageously adventurous vacation to Gangtok during the monsoon, you should be warned that landslides might be disastrous.
Mid-June ber, Gangtok's to mid-Septemclimate is equally mysterious and perilous. One will frequently get disoriented in the thick fog that is enveloping the soggy area. Gangtok experiences considerable rains and temperatures between 17 and 22 degrees during the monsoon season.
In Gangtok, the temperature varies from 20 degrees to a high of 27 degrees throughout the summer, which is from April to June. This is the perfect season to locate and explore a relaxing vacation.
