SUMOCHAM, the comprehensive line of drills with exchangeable carbide cutting heads, is one of ISCAR's most innovative and successful products. The history of SUMOCHAM dates to the turn of the century, and it is recognised as milestone ISCAR's product a significant in portfolio.
The SUMOCHAM line is designed for highspeed drilling and is highly regarded for its productivity, reliability, usability, and versatility. It addresses a common challenge in drilling operations: the time-consuming process of replacing the entire drill. With SUMOCHAM, only the drilling head needs to be replaced, which can be done swiftly, without regrinding or any additional setup procedure. This no-setup-time concept allows the head to be replaced without removing the drill from the machine spindle, significantly reducing machine downtime.
Over the years, ISCAR has consistently expanded and upgraded the SUMOCHAM line and its derivatives, introducing new features and innovations to enhance performance Consequently, and productivity further the LOGIQUICK campaign could not overlook the continued development of such effective and popular drilling tools. Predictably, the new designs that augmented the company's holemaking portfolio have captured the interest of manufacturers involved in metal cutting.
ISCAR's assembled drills with exchangeable three-flute heads have already been extensively discussed. Therefore, they will limit themselves to noting that this concept has enabled ISCAR to create a family of counterboring tools, which appear to hold great promise. Combining the SUMOCHAM with a MULTI-MASTER connection significantly broadens the product range, providing new options for optimal tool configurations.
