Offshore Africa
|June 2025
Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd. has secured a major strategic asset in the Orange Basin with final regulatory approval from South Africa's Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources for the acquisition of a 75% working interest and operatorship of Block 1 offshore South Africa.
-

The approval, including the crucial Section 11 transfer, formalizes Eco's entry into one of the most geologically promising offshore regions in the world.
The acquisition, conducted via Eco's subsidiary Azinam South Africa Limited, positions the AIM- and TSX-V-listed explorer as a dominant operator on the South African side of the Orange Basin-an area that has witnessed a cascade of high-profile discoveries in recent years.
