With a groundspeed up to an amazing 25.7kph and a 45L fuel capacity, Hustler's Super Z HyperDrive can deal with a great deal of work in a very short time. Landscape Contractor took the big zero turn for a run and came away very impressed.

Hustler Super Z HyperDrive Rear Discharge

When it comes to road-side maintenance and mowing in public environments, Hustler points out the Super Z HyperDrive Rear Discharge offers several advantages, including:

  • Being powered by a 36HP Kawasaki engine, delivering the torque and speed required to mow large areas quickly and reduce the hours spent completing tasks

  • The rear-discharge design minimises the risk of objects being thrown from the mower, enhancing safety for both the operator and bystanders, and evenly distributes clippings for better grass maintenance and regrowth, and

  • SmoothTrak™ steering allows for precise control, essential when working around delicate landscaping features or in areas with restricted access.

Putting those three highlights to the test seemed a good place to start a review of the American-made zero turn, and Mat Wandmaker – serial Landscape Contractor machine reviewer and director at Blue Ridge Property Maintenance - the ideal operator to put the Hustler through its paces.

But as we stared at the challenge of a shaggy, leaf-strewn block in need of real attention, we wondered if were asking a bit much of the Super Z.

As it turned out, both Mat and the Hustler made the heavy work look very easy indeed.
