Ever since David B. Snow Jr. launched Ever Ε his career in the 1980s, the veteran health care executive has wanted to fix what he viewed as a broken system. "I saw how perverse fee-for-service incentives were and how they contributed to poor clinical and financial outcomes," says the chairman and CEO of Cedar Gate Technologies.
Since then, Snow has advocated for a value-based health care system, which encourages proactive care to keep patients healthy versus the existing model, which focuses entirely on volume, without accountability for patient outcomes.
