Geberit water solutions built for stadiums
Gulf Construction
|September 2025
N the demanding realm of stadium construction and operations, where performance, sustainability, and design flexibility are crucial, Geberit is raising the bar with a holistic approach to water management. From roof drainage to bathroom solutions, the company's integrated systems are designed to meet the rigorous demands of these large-scale venues, according to the Swiss sanitary solutions provider.
-
Stadiums require robust, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure to handle massive crowds and the unpredictable forces of nature. With over 150 years of experience, Geberit has established itself as a global leader in sanitary technology, offering solutions that can meet these demanding challenges head-on, says Louise Pitt, Head of Marketing and Communication (Gulf Office) for Geberit International Sales.
At the heart of stadium infrastructure is the need for robust, space-efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Geberit addresses this through an integrated system covering:
- Roof drainage (Geberit Pluvia);
- Bathroom water use (WCs, urinals, taps and showers);
- Building drainage systems; and
- Water supply lines.
GEBERIT PLUVIA
Already proving itself in stadiums across the globe, the Geberit Pluvia siphonic system is an engineering marvel, designed to handle immense rainwater volumes with efficiency. It drastically reduces the number of roof outlets and the size of discharge stacks, freeing up valuable space and cutting down on material.
Its compact dimensions save on material costs and reduce excavation. This innovative design also eliminates the need for sloping pipes, translating directly into a faster, more cost-effective installation. The system's flexibility allows it to be routed around virtually any architectural element or complex roof geometry, while smart function discs ensure optimal performance by preventing air intake. All of this is supported by the Geberit software suite, which provides precise hydraulic calculations from the start.
