Ballooning Losses

INDIA’S SCHEDULED AIRLINES recorded a combined net loss of ₹5,289.73 crore in FY25, the Ministry of Civil Aviation told Parliament in written responses on February 9. The ministry said operators reported losses in each of the last three financial years, including ₹924.39 crore in FY24 and ₹18,606.78 crore in FY23. The figures refer to profit or loss after extraordinary items, meaning adjustments for one-off or nonrecurring events.
