The Agricultural Development Agency, in partnership with Absa, hosted an influential Agribusiness Ministerial Stakeholder Dialogue in September at the Maslow Hotel in Pretoria.
AGRIBUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
The event brought together a diverse array of key agribusiness players, including high-profile government officials from the Department of Agriculture, leaders of agribusiness operations, financial institutions, and agribusiness associations, particularly those based in the northern regions of South Africa. A number of farmers, representing various scales of operation, were also in attendance.
The presence of such prominent stakeholders at the dialogue underscored the sector-wide vested interest in the growth and sustainability of the agriculture sector. The gathering served as a platform for discussing how these players could collaborate to unlock opportunities and tackle the broader challenges facing the sector.
