The panel discussion on "Building the next-gen AI-powered enterprise" saw the participation of V. Srinivasa Rao (VSR), Chairman and MD, BT&BT, Dr. Chandrasekhar Devra, CIO, SRF Ltd, and Gokulavan Jayaraman, Information Security Head, Lumina Datamatics.

Jayaraman said ChatGPT models are here to stay. In a survey, 70% leaders agreed that they need to adopt ChatGPT. Generative Al tools are very new. We now need to have a plan, else, we will be left behind.

VSR said there are ChatGPT, Bard, etc. Google is trying to beat everyone with their language expertise. Language models are maturing. We need to embrace these things, else, we will be left out. We need to reorient ourselves. We need a GPT core from India. Nandan Nilekani has started one with IIT-Madras.

Dr. Devra said that we need to embrace new technologies. Managing expectations today is very important. We also need to look at apps for ChatGPT. We can do some new drug discovery. We can curate knowledge for some short form to develop a new drug. The engine can take the data and authorize relevant information. We also have robotics. Several experiments are now being done by robots. We can also pump data points into the engines. We can get the possibility of having the performance query. We now need to be agile enough to take up the new technology.
