Sarveshwar Foods Enhances Procurement With Two New Centres

Sarveshwar Foods Limited has strengthened its procurement channel further by setting up of two more SFL ‘chaupals’ (procurement facilitation centres) for the procurement of walnuts, beans, apples, black morels, black cumin and other authentic Himalayan delights directly from farmers in Kulgam and Doda. With these new locations, Sarveshwar Food now operates 12 SFL chaupals at various locations across Jammu and Kashmir with seven in Jammu and five in Kashmir. All these chaupals are managed by trained local farmers who help the local agricultural community access information in their local language.

The chaupals are established with two objectives: first, to speed up and ensure the smooth procurement of products by eliminating unnecessary leakages, delays and logistical challenges, and second, to engage with farmers from the start of the crop cycle, assist them at every stage of cultivation and provide full patronage. The chaupals operate in real time, are upto-date, and provide relevant information on price discovery, agricultural knowhow and best practices, etc. Through the SFL chaupals, Sarveshwar Foods leverages its expertise in an organised way.
