|May 2025
Blending clarity with curiosity, the founders of DSP Design sketch out a story where architecture becomes a medium for cultural shifts, and every workspace is a narrative in motion.
-
In a world where workplace design is evolving faster than ever, DSP Design stands not just as a participant—but as a provocateur, a pioneer, and a purpose-driven powerhouse. With a legacy spanning over three decades, the trio at the helm—Bimal Desai, Mehul Shah, and Yatin Patel—has redefined what it means to design for the future of work. They've seamlessly woven together architecture, proptech, and human insight to build workplaces that think, feel, and adapt. As they unveil Vision DSP4.0, a bold roadmap for the next era of growth, they're not only celebrating 35 transformative years—they're laying the blueprint for how spaces can shape behavior, unlock productivity, and ignite innovation. In this candid conversation, the founders unpack their philosophy, their global impact, and why the future belongs to offices that are as intelligent as they are inspiring.
At the helm of tomorrow's workspaces
DSP Design’s three-decade-plus journey has been nothing short of transformative—an architectural narrative built on breaking stereotypes and transcending the typical role of a design firm. From humble beginnings to a global footprint, the firm's founding trio—Bimal Desai, Mehul Shah, and Yatin Patel—have steered the practice into a future-forward powerhouse. At its core lies a unique design philosophy: deeply human, tech-empowered, and resilient by design.
“When we started 36 years ago, we were a small team with a big dream: to redefine spaces in a way that went beyond aesthetics,” the founders reflect. That vision evolved into a purpose-led pursuit of architecture that responds to people, places, and the pace of progress. Today, DSP is a 400-strong global design house crafting workplaces, campuses, data centres, and mixed-use environments across continents—each space an embodiment of adaptability, innovation, and intent.
