United adds more unique cities to its global map

UNITED AIRLINES IS once again redrawing the map. Its summer schedule introduces four new transatlantic routes from Newark—to Split, Bari, Glasgow and Santiago de Compostela—alongside added service to Reykjavík, Seoul and Tel Aviv.

The move cements United's claim as the largest U.S. carrier across the Atlantic, now linking 46 cities with nearly 3,000 weekly round trips. "As the clear flag carrier of the U.S," said Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of global network planning and alliances, "we pride ourselves on connecting our customers to unique, trendsetting destinations no other U.S. airline serves."
