With 40+ years of experience in developing, manufacturing, and marketing diagnostic devices, Sriram Natarajan is the Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Goa-based Molbio Diagnostics.
Through his pioneering work in molecular diagnostics, he has created advanced solutions for detecting infectious and non-communicable diseases. His vision is to build an ecosystem that allows equitable access to healthcare for all.
Under his leadership, Molbio developed Truenat, a novel point of care (POC) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) platform that is battery-operated and can operate in resource-limited settings, facilitating decentralised diagnosis within an hour. Protected by patents in over 100 countries, Truenat enables diagnosis of a wide range of infectious and non-communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, COVID, Hepatitis B and C, Human immunodeficiency virus, Human Papillomavirus, etc.
During FY 2024-25, Molbio generated revenue worth Rs 1,020 crore, marking a sharp recovery from its post-COVID slump.
