AMAZON'S story has always been one of invention, agility and a deep focus on customers. Andy Jassy, President and CEO of Amazon and Media Person of the Year at Cannes Lions 2025, reflected on this journey and how it continues to shape the company's future. Jassy notes that Amazon's early success came from its scrappy, resourceful culture. "We were scrappy. We didn't have a lot of resources, and we had to figure out how to invent on behalf of customers and how to do so in a way that was frugal and inventive at the same time," he explains. That mindset, he believes, still defines Amazon today.
