The Asus ExpertBook P1 offers professionals a dependable and durable laptop for daily use that delivers dependable performance without AI-centric frills, says Deep Majumdar
ASUS RECENTLY introduced the ExpertBook P1 with an Intel 13th Gen processor and we were given an early access to the laptop. The device, meant for professional users, office-goers and high functioning individuals, focusses on bringing performance and affordability together under the same roof.
Design
The Asus ExpertBook P1 is built to offer professionals a dependable, durable laptop for daily use. With a sturdy chassis, reminiscent of classic business laptops, it prioritizes practicality over aesthetics. The robust build provides added benefits, including a full range of connectivity options: HDMI 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet, two USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), and two USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2 with DisplayPort and PD charging), allowing for simultaneous support of up to three 4K external displays.
The 16:9 FHD IPS display maintains a functional approach with anti-reflective features for prolonged work sessions. Even though it lacks HDR, the 300-nit brightness and slim bezels enhance usability.
Durability is a standout feature, with an MLT 810H certification proving its resilience against drops, pressure, and spills. Asus rigorously tests the P1, subjecting it to 30,000 hinge cycles, 5,000 USB port insertions, and 50,000 chassis twists, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable workhorse. You may also stand on it and it will be completely fine.
