Rob Adams recounts the debilitating trauma of fitting a black water tank to his classic boat

A BLACK TALE

Choosing a title for my autobiography would be simple - I'd call it My Struggle, in reference to the time spent fitting a black water catch tank in Silver Bird while she was out of the water this winter. That said, a catch tank is a good idea, as they're required in lots of inland waterways, including the Thames above Teddington lock - and as we intend to be at the Henley Traditional Boat Festival in July, I thought I had better get on with it.
