First all-synthetic fuel race

A grid of 30 pre-1966 Porsche 91s will make history at this year’s Goodwood Revival event, racing on fully synthetic fuels

Porsche is proving influential in the synthetic fuels argument. The brand was recently a significant player in pressurising the German government; it contested the EU's lumping of synthetic fuels in with fossil fuels as part of the bloc's ban on new cars sold after 2035. Meanwhile, the Porsche eFuels pilot production facility in Chile is this season supplying the entire Porsche Supercup grid with almost carbon-neutral synthetic fuel.
