ULTRAVIOLETTE X-47

Up until today, Ultraviolet Automotive was known for one thing—and one thing only—the F77.
The fully-faired, streetfighter-esque electric motorcycle that turned heads and challenged conventions. First, there was the F77 Mark I, then the Mark II, and of course, most recently, the Super Street. All fully-faired, all aiming to carve out a slice of the electric revolution in India. But today, Ultraviolet has thrown a new star into the ring—the X-47. And trust me, this isn’t just another electric bike. It’s a bold new chapter, a crossover of sorts that’s got the industry buzzing.
If you're wondering about the name, well, the company says it’s inspired by a concept aircraft, and if you're familiar with Ultraviolet’s obsession with aeronautics and aerodynamics, you'll see that influence across this electric as well. The X-47 isn’t just a bike; it’s a statement, a design language that screams futurism, performance, and a little bit of that aviation magic. And believe me, it’s different. Very different.
Walking up to the X-47, the first thing that hits you is its aggressive stance. It’s not your usual naked streetbike or adventure tourer. It’s a mashup, a bit of both, with a dash of something completely new. If you’ve seen the concept-X showcased at EICMA last year, you'll recognize the DNA. Here’s the production version, and it’s got a character all its own.
The front end is a supermoto-inspired face—think hyperstrada, think aggressive, think ready to pounce. That chunky fibre beak up front, the sharp angular lines, and the wide, upside-down forks with around 170mm of travel give it an adventure tourer vibe but with a whole lot of attitude. The 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres—ready for tarmac or gravel, in theory. The 320mm disc up front and 230mm at the rear promise stopping power, and the stance is commanding.
