2024 Hyundai Kona

The Kona enters its second generation for 2024 with a new design language. It’s larger than the outgoing Kona, too, and its uncommonly ornate (for this class) and unmistakable design is something we’re already seeing in other upcoming Hyundai products. Having really liked the previous Kona, would our judges warm to this one?

Consistency in that new design would help. The regular models are attractive, but we don’t love the N Line trim’s wild detailing and in-your-face mien. “It’s like two different cars sitting on top of each other,” features editor Scott Evans said. “The one on top is sleek and futuristic looking, and then there’s this blocky, chunky thing on the bottom.”
