What are the key factors that differentiate Havells in the competitive electrical and power distribution equipment manufacturing industry?

ESG issues are increasingly vital for companies, and sustainability has long been a priority. Integrating sustainability into business strategies is crucial for longterm success. Havells was a pioneer, publishing its first sustainability report in 2012–2013. Over the years, we’ve integrated sustainability into manufacturing practices, reflected in processes such as water and energy-efficient machines, automated labour and reduced paper usage.

How do you see the role of technology and innovation changing over the years, when it comes to growth strategies? How does Havells ensure a balance between innovation and staying true to its core business strategy?

Our focus on innovation is centred on enhancing capabilities to create smart and sustainable solutions for evolving customer needs. With a dedicated CRI centre and over 600 skilled individuals, we continually innovate and develope sustainable products. Our substantial investments in research and development underscore our commitment to delivering best-in-class products. This commitment extends to our environmental considerations in both products and infrastructure. For instance, our recently established plant in Alwar and the air conditioner plant in Ghiloth have achieved gold-rated green building certification.

What are the current manufacturing challenges that you tackle? How have they impacted the company’s products or their relationship with the consumers or other businesses?
