Munich's pugnacious wide-body coupe offers the same 473 horsepower as the M3 and M4 but in a smaller, lighter, and more affordable package. This is the good stuff right here, a bona fide, automotive needful thing that's priced within the realm of reason and will fit in compact parking spaces with room to spare. The M2 has the spirit of the original 2002 but with over four times the horsepower, and what's not to like about that?
A sports coupe like the M2 isn't beholden to the considerations that dictate automotive compromises. It won't give you a massage or accommodate your family on a trip to Aunt Gertrude's. The M2 is a pure exercise in exploiting the far reaches of the fun spectrum. Even the color palette consists of vibrant hues that suit the car's exuberant personality: Sao Paulo Yellow, Zandvoort Blue, Vegas Red Metallic, and Java Green Metallic (below).
