Places around Pune are blessed with scenic landscapes. In an effort to make the best of stunning vistas and capable engineering, we chose the Škoda Kodiaq to accompany us as we effortlessly navigated through the bustling urban jungle and continued on towards winding roads that snaked through lush green hills.

Once past the urban chaos, we made a beeline for Mahabaleshwar. The Kodiaq is not new to adventure, so sticking to the tourist-infested route was not mandatory. Monsoon had worked a number on the roads but the Kodiaq's advanced all-wheel-drive system and its substantial ground clearance came into play, allowing it to waft over tricky surfaces without sacrificing pace. The sheer confidence it instilled transformed State Highway 72 into a memorable drive.
