We tested the JK Tyre Levitas Ultra tyres on different premium vehicles in a number of challenges at NATRAX in Indore
ONE CAN BOAST about the most sophisticated suspension set-up, driver aids or chassis in a car as the key factors contributing to driving dynamics. However, it is the tyres that matter the most where driving dynamics are concerned because they quite literally contribute to keeping the car glued to the tarmac in an optimal manner. The ideal tyres are also important for that sense of control and confidence you need while driving, which can even spell the difference between a smooth passage and mishap. A lot of technology is involved in making the tyres suitable for the right applications.
JK Tyre are stepping up into higher and more premium segments with their new Levitas Ultra tyres, meant for premium luxury cars and sport utility vehicles (SUV) with sizes ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches (up to 22 inches will be introduced later). The company claims that these tyres have been benchmarked against top European tyremakers and we were invited to the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) facility, near Indore, to put these tyres to the test on three unique challenging courses.
