Marco Bezzecchi caps off a strong second half of the 2025 MotoGP season by winning the Valencia Grand Prix
MARCO BEZZECCHI and Aprilia’s positive run continued at the season finale in Valencia as he took another pole position.
Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) and Fabio Di Giannantonio’s (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) completed the front row in second and third place respectively. The qualifying session for the 2025 MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix as a whole was an extremely competitive affair as less than a tenth of a second covered the top five riders, and a little over half a second covered the entire top 12 in Q2.
Sprint
DESPITE THE POLE POSITION however, Bezzecchi lost the lead immediately in the Sprint as he dropped down to sixth position. Alex Marquez on the other hand had the better start and was into the lead. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) had an even better start, vaulting from fifth on the grid to second position by the end of the opening lap. There was some drama for the factory Honda squad on the second lap as Joan Mir lost the front, taking out teammate Luca Marini in the process.
Meanwhile at the front, Acosta was pressuring Marquez like at Portimao, but Marquez held on to take the Sprint win. There was however, an intense scrap for third position between Di Giannantonio and Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), with the former holding on to third position. Polesitter Bezzecchi meanwhile, managed to finish in fifth position.Race
