TARUN SANJAY MEHTA'S JOURNEY HAS been an intriguing one. The executive director and the chief executive officer of Ather Energy, one of the co-founders of the company, obtained a bachelor's and a master's degree in engineering design from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, under their dual degree programme. Leading operations on the product, business, and growth fronts, Mehta has received many accolades, including being listed in the "Forbes 30 Under 30" list in 2018 as well as the "Fortune 40 Under 40" list in 2017, 2019, and 2021 for Ather's contributions to the Indian two-wheeler industry.

The past year has seen Ather Energy endow the Ather 450 electric scooter line-up with better performance and range, and have the Rizta's console support Indian languages. A significant gain is the expansion of the firm's product testing and validation centre, the Juggernaut at Begur, Bengaluru, which features four road simulators for testing suspension frames, early bug detection, and faster design optimisation. Ather has also partnered with Infineon Technologies to help improve energy efficiency, performance, and reliability across its electric scooters as well as charging systems.
