EU'S NEW E-CAR CATEGORY COULD SPARK 108 REVIVAL

PEUGEOT COULD LAUNCH a new city car in the vein of the old 108 if the EU's new 'E-car' category is successful in making such models viable again.

The firm has previously been cool on the prospect of reviving its city car, which was axed in 2020 due to razor-thin margins. But now CEO Alain Favey has told Autocar that a return to the A-segment could be on the cards.
