Of late, CNG cars have gained a lot of popularity in India, with sales breaching the 3 lakh mark in FY2023 and more than twenty CNG models on sale. However, CNG cars have always suffered because of the lack of boot space thanks to the large CNG tank occupying the entire boot. The second factor is that most CNG cars come devoid of fancy features which remain a big draw in our country.

Now Tata Motors has taken it upon itself to offer a CNG car which negates all these issues with the Altroz iCNG. This is now the fourth powertrain option to be offered with the Altroz, in addition to the petrol, diesel and turbo-petrol options.
