REVEALED Personalisation and powertrain choices, plus four-seat option

REX THE exclusive Porsche 911 GT3 I has been updated, bringing powertrain upgrades and even more customisation. Available to order from the end of the year, the new GT3 will cost from £157,300, and is set to reach customers a few months later.
The new 992.2 model is available in both standard and Touring forms and comes with either a seven-speed PDK or six-speed manual gearbox. It also gains a number of enhancements sourced from the hardcore GT3 RS.
These include modified cylinder heads and sharper camshafts that improve performance and response at the high end of the rev range. New flow-optimised throttle valves and oil coolers have also been added, while the gearing is eight per cent shorter on both transmissions.

BUYING CARS
EARLIER this year my colleague Tom Jervis quite rightly pointed out that car wheels are simply getting too big, which is somewhat consistent with another wheel that car makers seemingly can’t stop fiddling with: the steering wheel.
