|July 2025
In order to present the future of stainless steel, producers, inventors, and world leaders gathered in Mumbai for the Global Stainless Steel Expo (GSSE) 2025. With its modern technology, emphasis on sustainability, and global cooperation, GSSE became a leading platform that stimulates innovation, partnerships, and growth throughout the stainless steel industry
The most powerful brains and producers in the stainless steel industry came together for three days of invention, discussion, and exploration at the Global Stainless Steel Expo (GSSE) 2025 happened on World Environment Day, which was held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. GSSE provided a specialized forum for the connection and cooperation of stainless steel manufacturers, end users, technology suppliers, and policy makers as India swiftly becomes a global manufacturing powerhouse. GSSE, which is organized by Virgo Communications and Exhibitions, has quickly expanded to become one of the most important stainless steel trade events in Asia. With more than 250 exhibitors, 10,000+ business visitors, and delegates from more than 15 countries, this year's event was larger and more significant.
India's Stainless Steel Story
India is currently the second-largest stainless steel producer in the world, and its role as a value-added exporter continues to rise. The country's infrastructure boom, growing urbanization, and ambitious projects under the 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaigns have created fertile ground for stainless steel consumption and innovation. At GSSE 2025, leading Indian players such as Jindal Stainless, Viraj Profiles, Ambica Steels, and Shyam Ferro Alloys showcased advanced grades of stainless steel suited for railway coaches, defense equipment, industrial process plants, and smart cities. Speaking at the event, [Bose Christy Arun, HeadBusiness Development], from Jindal Stainless, remarked, "India's strength lies not just in capacity, but in customization and quality. GSSE allows us to demonstrate that potential on a global stage."
