A HUMAN-CENTRIC ECOSYSTEM
November 2025

The BNP Paribas Workplace designed by Concept Consilo in collaboration with Signify was aimed at delivering a workplace that empowers users, enhances comfort and, supports diverse work modes
Concept Consilio transformed a traditional corporate space into a vibrant, future-ready workplace for BNP Paribas, reimagining how people connect, collaborate, and thrive. The design seamlessly blends performance, inclusivity, and human-centric elements, crafting an ecosystem that inspires productivity, agility, and wellbeing, and sets a new benchmark for modern workspaces. We engage in a candid conversation with Anant Karkera on the nuances of design, and their approach to creating this space.
From a technical standpoint what was the most difficult aspect of this project
Anant Karkera (AK): From a technical perspective, the most challenging aspect was integrating advanced lighting controls, hybrid-ready layouts, and WELL performance criteria within a highly detailed architectural framework. Synchronising lighting systems, sensors, and BMS integration required meticulous planning between MEP teams, Signify's lighting specialists, and our in-house design and coordination teams.
Additionally, achieving visual comfort and daylight harmony across expansive open areas while ensuring uniform illumination presented a complex balance between aesthetic and performance goals. This integration was successfully managed through digital simulations, precision mapping, and iterative design coordination, resulting in a seamless technological ecosystem that enhances both functionality and experience.

#BEATTHEFIRE - WHAT YOU SPECIFY CAN DECIDE WHO SURVIVES
In moments of fire, there is no second chance. The materials you choose today determine whether a building protects lives tomorrow - or puts them at risk. In an age where speed of construction and visual appeal often overshadow safety, one critical truth must remain nonnegotiable: fire safety begins at the specification stage.
