A DIALOGUE BETWEEN LIGHT, LUXURY, AND THE SEA

Perched in a quiet neighbourhood with breath taking views of Chennai ‘s scenic coastline, this Villa by C Design stands as a serene yet bold interpretation of coastal contemporary living

A DIALOGUE BETWEEN LIGHT, LUXURY, AND THE SEA

Architecture often intrigues the onlooker, but if it can't hold your attention, put you at ease, and embrace you with its warmth, then it loses its purpose. At first glance, the villa's clean geometry, bold façade, and dramatic lighting reveal a confident architectural statement — one that balances restraint with flourish. Yet beyond its sculptural form lies a deeply functional and thoughtful layout, crafted with the day-to-day rhythms of family life in mind. Architect M.M. Meyyappan designs with deft hands, bringing together the world of aesthetics and functionality, form and function.

A LAYERED SPATIAL EXPERIENCE

The villa unfolds across several levels, each with its own personality yet bound together by a consistent material language and fluid spatial progression. At the stilt level, a tranquil retreat houses a spa, gym, and home office, all framed by landscaped pockets that invite fresh air and greenery. Parking is discreetly hidden below, preserving the entrance's calm ambiance. The first floor anchors family life. Formal and informal living, dining, kitchen, and a pooja area gather around a central landscaped lounge that frames sea views. A study and the parents' suite sit at the quieter edges, while generous openings and cross-ventilation keep light and movement flowing smoothly. Crowning the villa, the terrace evolves into a social hub. A games area, home theatre, and entertainment lounge open onto a pool deck, merging the built form with the endless sea horizon.
