Cluck and carry on

Following the unexpected joy of her debut title, The Chicken Report, Sue Cook and her chickens are back with a second instalment that is every bit as silly, sincere and wonderfully imaginative as the first.

The Chicken Report 2 returns readers to the garden tales of Sue's much-loved bantam brood, bringing new stories, new illustrations, and even more laugh-out-loud moments from life at her Suffolk townhouse.

Told through a medley of comic-style illustrations, photos, and speech bubbles, the format remains the same. Short bursts of humorous content that are lighthearted, easy to dip in and out of, and incredibly endearing.

It is a structure that works, especially for readers of all ages who enjoy a bit of escapism with their poultry. On every page, the chickens speak for themselves (often quite literally) as Sue brings their personalities to life through captioned conversations, cheeky antics, and creatively presented characters.
