In a week of back-to-back shows, former stars come to the fore time and again
INDY KIRBY, 16, became the third member of the family to qualify her mother Pippa's home-bred Monivea Black Magic (Merlin) for Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). The pair qualified in the native and traditional type coloured pony class before also standing section champion.
Eight-year-old Boston stallion Merlin is a double HOYS and Royal International (RIHS) winner. He won both finals with Pippa on board in 2023 before repeating the feat in 2024 with Pippa riding at Hickstead and her daughter Isabella at HOYS.
