Drone survey identifies the largest nesting site in the world

SCIENTISTS HAVE IDENTIFIED THE WORLD'S largest known nesting site of endangered giant South American river turtles, with more than 41,000 recorded along the Guaporé River on the Brazil-Bolivia border. The findings, published in the Journal of Applied Ecology, were made by the University of Florida and the Wildlife Conservation Society using drones and advanced statistical modelling.
