Wales is a very special country which still values the rural way of life. It’s no longer really cheap to buy as it was for so many years, many factors have led to rising prices. The controversial demand for second homes has pushed up prices but also the connectivity by internet has meant that working in Wales, from home, has become possible. Also, although the steep and often windy roads mean getting around does take longer, fast motorway links connect quickly with England and it retains a reasonable network of trains, sometimes in surprising places.
