They are more prevalent in different seasons. These can damage the skin of the host, transmission of diseases, anemia, paralysis pus formation etc. Its outer covering is made up of chitin called exoskeleton which protects them from the harsh environment. The body is divided into the head, thorax, and abdomen. There is no developed circulatory system.

1. Notable fleas found in the dog: 

The eggs are white and oval-shaped, from which maggot-like larva hatch out. They have no wings. Larvae have 13 body segments, without eyes, and possess well develop mouth apparatus. The pupa developed within the juvenile flea and the adult comes out of the pupa.
