A prospective lightweight hunter has the edge on his second outing, while a Welsh cob delights both crowds and judges
A THREE-YEAR-OLD potential lightweight hunter landed the Price Family inhand supreme title on just his second-ever appearance in a show ring. In the expert hands of Simon Charlesworth, Angela Smith and Paul Mortimer’s stunning bay, Tremarl Timber (Tim), defied his lack of mileage to produce a smooth, mannerly and expressive show.
His quality and scope impressed judges Vanessa de Quincey and Sophie Henderson (née Waddilove), who were in complete agreement throughout.
“This youngster was beautifully presented without being too heavy, was very correct, light off the ground and a grand mover,” said Sophie. “He had the lot – balance, elegance and plenty of limb.”
Tim, by Jennie Loriston Clarke’s Totilas son Timolin out of a No Submission mare, was bred in Wales by Jane Davies.
