FRANCESCA POSTE enjoyed a double on the day, showcasing a smart prospect in the process in the form of Guivinec. The four-year-old by Joshua Tree won the maiden with an impressive 15 lengths under Alice Stevens for Fran, who trains this gelding and owns him in partnership with her husband Charlie.

“Guivinec has always shown a lot at home and we were disappointed when he finished third in his first run last time out,” said Fran. “He shows a lot of speed at home so we hoped that he would get it done nicely today and he will go to the sales now.”
