LAURA & MARTY'S BEAUT BABYMOON

Black Cap batsman Martin Guptill and his wife Laura McGoldrick are doing their bit for the tourism industry, enjoying a trip to Taupo’s luxurious Huka Lodge ahead of the arrival of their baby boy.

The pair, who recently marked their six-year anniversary, were joined by friends, family and their two-year-old daughter Harley on the break, where they also celebrated Marty’s 34th birthday. “You’re the best daddy,” the radio star wrote on Instagram. “We are so lucky to have you.”

Laura is due in February, but says the experience has been bittersweet after she suffered two tragic miscarriages earlier this year, one of which required surgery. “I had to do it all basically alone because being in lockdown, I couldn’t have a support person there with me and it was really, really hard,” she tearily confessed live on The Hits. “I still have days where I drive home and cry, and sit in the shower and cry, or I sit in the wardrobe and cry.”

After both predicting they’d have a son, Marty and Laura were also delighted to reveal on her radio show that they were expecting a boy, although the former Westside actress quipped, “What am I gonna do with all Harley’s hand-medowns?!”
