The new mum’s missing her mother’s TLC
-
After a month of seclusion at home with baby Archie, the Duchess of Sussex was last week preparing to step back into the limelight. But as she grapples with the demands of balancing motherhood with her royal role, insiders say Meghan is finding her new life harder than she’d feared.
“Meghan always knew that having a baby in a different country with no friends or family around would be tough,” tells a source. “But she never realised quite how difficult it would be. She’s totally in love with her little boy and adores being a mum, but she’s been shocked by how emotional she’s been. She’s extremely tearful, and can’t help but feel lonely and vulnerable.”
While her attendance hadn’t yet been officially confirmed when Woman’s Day went to press, it was rumoured Meghan would join other royals on Buckingham Palace’s balcony for the Trooping the Colour military parade on June 8.
An annual occasion to mark the Queen’s birthday, it’s one of the biggest events on the royal calendar. Last year, the Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance just six weeks after welcoming baby Prince Louis and our source says Meghan can’t help but feel the pressure.
