The year was 2016, and Terri Irwin had been offered a chance to appear on Ten’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in the African jungle.

Jumping at the opportunity to mingle with Aussie stars battling a barrage of snakes, spiders and other creepy crawlies, Terri – with her kids Bindi and Robert along for the ride – won hearts in the bush camp and lifted contestants’ spirits.

And there was one competitor who caught Terri’s eye.

“As soon as she heard Shane Warne speak, Terri had butterflies,” says an insider.

“He was funny, charming, and Australian as they come – she was instantly transported back to when she met her husband. Steve and Shane are alike in so many ways. It reawakened something in her that she never thought she’d feel again after Steve died.”

Her time on I’m A Celebrity... was short-lived, but sources tell Woman’s Day the 55-year-old has never forgotten about her encounter with the cheeky 50-year-old sports legend.
