Now actress Molly Shannon reveals in her new memoir, Hello, Molly!, that much like a lot of comics before her, behind the laughter lurks tragedy.

The 57-year-old, who made a name for herself in TV hits like Seinfeld, Will & Grace and recently The White Lotus, opens up in the heartbreaking - and often hilarious - autobiography about the death of her mother Peggy Keating in a car accident in 1969 when she was just four years old.
