The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning a dramatic return to the UK to plead their royal status within the family they so recently left.

According to several royal reporters, Harry, 36, is planning to visit the Queen, 94, Prince Charles, 72, and his estranged brother Prince William, 38, to rehash their infamous “Megxit deal”, which they agreed upon in March last year.

Sources tell The Sun that Meghan, 39, is strongly considering joining him for the summit, which our insiders predict will be “more tense than the one they had at Sandringham a year ago”.

“Harry and Meghan want to hold on to the few royal patronages they were allowed to have, despite their brash exit and the protocol-smashing behaviour they’ve exhibited this past year,” says a source.

“After collaborating on a biography, launching embarrassing lawsuits against the major newspapers the family needs for publicity and interfering in the US election, the Queen would be well within her rights to strip them of their dukedom, much less let them keep their official ties to patronages like the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.”
