Why Routine Is Good For You
WOMAN'S WEEKLY
|May 19, 2020
Balance your day and you’ll boost your wellbeing

In these times of significant change and adjustment, establishing and maintaining a routine is a valuable gift to your wellbeing.
Not only does a routine help you to feel in control, it also provides a sense of security.
Many studies reveal it significantly lowers feelings of anxiety, which in turn reduces an excess of cortisol, the stress hormone, in your body.
Planning a routine allows you to set up healthy habits, such as making time for simple exercises, as well as creativity and relaxation.
Ground rules
How you begin each day impacts your mindset and how you will experience the day, so choose the same time to wake up each day to help your body establish a rhythm.
Eat a healthy breakfast that will provide nutrition and energy. Set times for your other daily meals, too, and stick to them.
