Coping with... ROSACEA

WOMAN'S WEEKLY

|

March 24, 2020

This long-term skin disorder causes facial redness, broken vessels and pimples

Coping with... ROSACEA

More common in women and in people with fair complexions, rosacea is poorly understood but usually presents with redness across the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. The redness may come and go, and be harder to see on darker skin. Washing or using skincare products may cause stinging or burning. Pimples and pustules can occur, and broken blood vessels can be very noticeable. Blepharitis – Inflammation of the eyelids – can be a problem.

The symptoms may relapse, with periods where it is worse, then it may settle for weeks or months.
