Having already hosted Kate Moss and her mates for the weekend, The Craigellachie invited Nicola Smith to spend the night and nd out what makes it such a desirable wedding venue.

Glasgow born and bred, I rarely got the chance to venture north during my childhood. With parents in need of some guaranteed sunshine to break up the grind of work, the scintillating sights of Scotland were perhaps inevitably overlooked for package holidays overseas. Now that I’m in charge of where I visit, however, I’ve grown more accustomed to the idea of exploring Scotland’s glorious landscapes.
Speyside has long been on the list of regions I’d like to see, so when one of its best-known hotels, The Craigellachie, suggested I come up for a weekend, I was delighted to hop in the car and head north.
