Allan Keyzer’s vision was to create a business doing what he loves most: camping. So, in 2010, in his garage at home, he started building the first prototype that paved the way for the future of Aloe Caravans. By 2011, production of the “Striata” off-road caravan was under way.
The Striata, constructed on a galvanised steel chassis with an aluminium frame covered with an aluminium skin, was a hit. But it wasn’t long before Allan started getting calls and queries from customers requesting a caravan box without wheels and A-frame – people wanted to take the Striata and mount it on the back of a truck to create a motorhome.
