Don’t bother to look for a reception office at Klipkrans when you arrive because there isn’t one. But, you will be welcomed by the owner, Handré, in his mobile office as he calls it, his Toyota bakkie. He will tell you a bit about the history of Klipkrans, inform you of the 4x4 route on the farm, the self-drive game viewing options, the honesty shop for necessities, the private boma, and the bush camp set behind the large koppie, for groups wanting to get away from it all.

When we received the access code for the main gate and made our way along the farm road, we were escorted by four juvenile spring bokkies that pranced along the road in front of our presidential motorcade, as if to welcome us to Klipkrans.
