Gamers rejoice! With an easy-to-use app, you can stream your Xbox One to your Macor iOS device and play your games away from the TV. All you need is OneCast...

OneCast

For years, Xbox One owners have been able to stream their games to their Windows PCs and play anywhere in the house. Microsoft, however, never saw fit to bring this feature to the Mac. Sure, you could install Windows on an Apple computer and run it through Boot Camp or virtualisation, but that’s a chore. Until now, there’s been no native solution.

That’s where OneCast comes in. An independent release that’s not connected with Microsoft, OneCast lets you play your Xbox One games on your Apple devices. There are two separate apps available: one for macOS and an iOS app, which runs on iPads, iPhones and the iPod touch..

They’re easy to set up. Just switch on your Xbox One and then launch OneCast on an Apple device. Your Mac, or iOS device, then searches for your Xbox and, on finding it, you sign in with your Microsoft account. Your console is then registered. Tap Play and you can start streaming. It’s as simple as that. You can even use multiple user profiles in OneCast.
