BAG IT UP
Choosing the airline for your holiday might well come down to the cheapest ticket you can find, but cyclists can suffer a sting in the tail when it comes to shipping their bikes. We present I the latest costs to I travel with your bike 1 to the countries we've profiled from the biggest airlines.
Easyjet
One bike per customer, up to 32kg. £55 each way (paid at airport), £45 each way (online)
Ryanair
For whatever reason Ryanair doesn't class bikes as large sports equipment, but in its own category. So expect to pay, each way, £60 at time of booking, or £75 at the airport.
British Airways
You can include your bike as part of your free checked baggage allowance, up to 23kg. If your bike is in addition to another checked bag, you'll pay £36 each way from Gatwick and £60 from all other airports.
Wizz Air
£30 each way when booked online, but £50 each way when booked at the airport.
